the goal

Wonderr Studio™ is a creative studio focused on developing original stories, characters, and high-quality animation & designs. Currently offering illustration, mascots, and animation services for businesses, Wonderr Studio™ is now transitioning into an anime studio dedicated to producing original stories by South African creators.

The goal is to create animated series and films for global streaming platforms like Netflix, while also supporting South African talent. Wonderr Studio™ focuses on collaboration, innovation, and storytelling that resonates both locally and internationally.

We are trying to push the boundaries of how animation is consumed in South Africa, because why not. It is a beautiful medium with amazing designs, graphics and stories. 
We want to be the #1 Anime based SA studio because we LOVE anime! And it is our drive to eventually produce anime series and movies with local South African talent, help with job creation and giving other artists and creators the opportunity to do what they love doing and creating.

What programs do you use to animate in?

When Wonderr Studio™ create 3D animations, we make use of Blender and a few other programs. 
For 2D animations we use Clip Studio Paint Ex and a few other programs combined in the process.

Do you use AI in your projects?

1. No. Generative AI is extremely inconsistent in this space and would be a waste of time. Here at Wonderr Studio we pride ourselves on emotional driven quality and believe animations, character designs and everything in between should be produced by emotion driven creators to provide the best quality. 

2. We do sometimes use Ai for work flow management and use Chat Gpt for ideation references.  

3. You are more than welcome to share Ai references as a guidance if you have something that gives you an idea of what you want. Ai can be unrealistic, therefore we can't guarantee to create everything Ai makes.

Who has ownership rights and usage of the work produced?

Any design work made on a commission bases will transfer complete ownership of the work from designer to customer once the work has been handed over and full payment for the project has been made. Wonderr Studio™ does have the right to refuse handing over any work if not paid what is owed. Learn more about ownerships from AINNO, the AI assistant we created for Steyn IP Attorneys. 

How will a mascot assist my business?

1. Mascots will increase your engagement, personal connection with your customers and brand memorability. When used correctly, it can improve your ROI tremendously. Curious to learn more?

2. As an example, animations and different variations of your mascot can be used on social media to create a growing and engaging audience which could easily turn into potential clients. 

Will you give me guidance on how to use a mascot?

Yes. A "How to use" guide is included with the packages. If you have the budget, I highly suggest you get a digital or marketing agency to incorporate the mascot in your marketing strategy and have them implement it for you. Can I Copyright or Register Intellectual Property for the things you'll create for us?

Short answer, yes. You will be able to legally protect the assets we've created, whether an animation, character or mascot. However we suggest you contact an IP lawyer such as Steyn IP to find out more about the legalities of this space.  Learn more about IP
