Google has launched their Gemini Ai. What does that mean for the future of your business?

SEO might die, if it isn’t dead already. And it means that it could be harder for your website to be found on Google, leading search engine on a global scale.

Before we get into it, let’s look at what SEO is if you don’t.

What is SEO?

SEO—short for search engine optimization—is about helping search engines understand your content, and helping users find your site and make a decision about whether they should visit your site through a search engine.

Why might it be ‘dead’ and why should you care?

SEO may become less effective due to Google’s new AI, Gemini, which provides users with summarized answers directly in search results—similar to ChatGPT. This means fewer users will visit individual websites, especially without paid ads. As a result, small businesses with limited marketing budgets may struggle more to attract direct traffic. Additionally, Gemini’s summaries can sometimes include misinformation, reducing the value of trustworthy website content and making it harder for businesses to convert visitors into clients.

All hope is not lost. What can you do to still get a good amount of visitors to your website?

Optimizing Your Website for Gemini AI & SEO

✅ 1. Structure Content for AI Readability

  • Write in a Q&A format.
  • Use headings, bullet points, and short answers.
  • Add FAQs targeting user intent.

✅ 2. Add Schema Markup

Use:

  • FAQ schema
  • Article schema
  • HowTo schema
  • LocalBusiness schema

This improves your chance of being featured in Gemini summaries and rich results.

✅ 3. Keep Content Original & Authoritative

  • Provide unique insights and real data.
  • Reference credible sources.
  • Update posts regularly.

✅ 4. Tease, Don’t Reveal It All

  • Add snippets Gemini can use.
  • Use cliffhangers like:
“Here’s the first step — get the full 5-step guide inside.”

✅ 5. Build Featured Snippet Blocks

  • Use questions as headings.
  • Write 40–60 word answers immediately beneath.
  • Add deeper info afterward.

✅ 6. Use Internal Links

Guide AI and users to other relevant pages.
Example: “Want to learn how brand mascots increase trust? Click here.”

🎨 Using Animations, Brand Mascots & Illustrations to Drive Engagement & Traffic

🧩 Why It Works
Visual storytelling:

  • Increases retention
  • Boosts emotional connection
  • Enhances shareability on social media

📌 Strategy 1: Introduce Your Mascot as a Guide
Use your brand mascot as a character narrator:

  • On your website (“Hi! I’m Deimos, your brand guide.”)
  • In animations explaining what you do
  • In email sequences or blog intros

Result: People connect with a face + personality, making them more likely to follow your links and explore.

📌 Strategy 2: Animated Story Posts on Social Media
Short 15–30 second videos that:

  • Introduce a pain point
  • Hint at a solution
  • End with a call-to-action: “Find out more on our site!”

Use: Reels, TikTok, LinkedIn short posts, YouTube Shorts
Tools: Canva, After Effects, LottieFiles

📌 Strategy 3: Visual Roadmaps & Directory Graphics
Design illustrations that visually explain how to use your site, such as:

  • “Start here” flowcharts
  • “What can you learn on our blog?” comic strips
  • Step-by-step guides with your mascot navigating each

These work great on:

  • Pinterest
  • Instagram carousels
  • Website homepages

📌 Strategy 4: Gamified Website Exploration
Incorporate interactive animated elements (like scroll-based animations or clickable mascot helpers).

Example:

“Ask Deimos the creative Tharnyx” — Click the mascot to get blog suggestions.

📌 Strategy 5: Consistent Character-Driven Content
Build a character story arc for your mascot:

  • Weekly episodes or tips
  • Relatable moments (humor, struggle, success)
  • Encourage users to “follow their journey” via your site, email list, or app

Human and emotional connectivity is more important than ever in an extremely fast paced Ai and tech environment.
Show humanity and show personality in your business. One of the best ways to navigate an AI driven industry that could even increase un-employment to 20% in the next 5 years for white collar workers, is to show human emotions. Something AI can’t replicate.

USE: ANIMATIONS, MASCOTS and ILLUSTRATIONS

It will help create that personal connection everyone is craving for.

Here’s why you should consider creating your own mascot:

  • Humanizing Your Brand: A mascot gives your brand a personality, making it more approachable and relatable. It allows you to connect with your audience on an emotional level.
  • Memorability: People are more likely to remember your brand if it’s represented by a fun and unique mascot. Mascots leave a lasting impression, ensuring that your brand stays top of mind.
  • Increased Engagement: Mascots can enhance customer engagement by giving your brand a voice and presence across different platforms, from social media to live events.
  • Building Brand Loyalty: Mascots help foster trust and loyalty by creating a sense of familiarity and comfort with your audience. Over time, customers will associate the mascot with positive experiences.
  • Easier Communication: Mascots can simplify complex messages, making it easier for your audience to understand your products or services.
